The Stops on the Route Church of Sant’Oronzo at the Grotto The spiritual heart of the itinerary, it stands above the grotto venerated for centuries as the refuge of Sant’Oronzo during the Roman persecutions. Here, visitors can see a medieval altar, the baptismal font of miraculous water, and the extraordinary 18th-century maiolica floor from Laterza. History, legend, and faith intertwine in an intense and contemplative atmosphere that continues to draw pilgrims and worshippers today. The Monumental Cemetery A place rich in memory, it houses the graves of the Turese community up until the mid-20th century.
