The Municipality of Turi
The Municipality of Turi is a partner of TuriBorgoAntico, a project created with the aim of enhancing the local area, promoting local culture and strengthening the sense of belonging and community, both among residents and visitors.
A collaboration based on a shared vision: to tell the story of Turi in an authentic, continuous and structured way, connecting traditions, events, historical heritage, local productions and cultural initiatives.
Through this shared path, the Municipality and TuriBorgoAntico work together to make the town increasingly vibrant, accessible and welcoming, capable of offering opportunities for connection, growth and participation. A commitment that goes beyond tourism promotion, aiming to reinforce local identity by supporting local realities, encouraging collaboration between institutions, associations and operators, and fostering a conscious and respectful way of experiencing the historic town.
TuriBorgoAntico thus becomes a shared tool for storytelling and enhancement, at the service of the community and of those who choose to discover Turi, helping to build a model of cultural and territorial development based on quality, continuity and participation.

The Associations

“A. Pedrizzi” Bersaglieri
Since 2005, the Bersaglieri Association has been the custodian of the Church and Grotto of St Oronzo, regarded as a sacred site by the people of Turi since the mid-17th century. Through guided visits, conferences, concerts, and educational activities for groups and schools, the association has helped to promote and enhance the extraordinary historical, architectural, and natural heritage preserved within the site.

Chi è di scena!?
The cultural association “CHI È DI SCENA!? APS”, founded in 2009 in Turi by Ferdinando Redavid, promotes music, dance, and theatre throughout Puglia. It organises the Belcanto Festival, a project designed to bring audiences closer to opera and to establish an annual cultural event of regional significance.

Margherita Calefati
Margherita Calefati, artist and photographer, transforms her creative sensibility into works that intertwine memory and imagination. In the TuriBorgoAntico project, she created a drawing of a Vestal Virgin, a symbolic figure who, in her interpretation, has guarded the ancient stones of the village for centuries, making visible the connection between the history and identity of the area.
