Bari, 27 February 2025 – The Municipality of Turi today presented the "TuriBorgoAntico" project at the BTM Italia 2025 conference area, an initiative aimed at enhancing the town’s historic center and highlighting its cultural, architectural, and artistic heritage.
The conference featured speeches by the Mayor of Turi, Giuseppe De Tomaso, the Tourism Councillor Daniela Di Bello, and the Project Manager Francesca Colombo. The discussion emphasized the importance of an innovative approach capable of meeting the evolving expectations of visitors and making Turi an increasingly attractive destination in Puglia.
BTM Italia 2025: a growth opportunity for Turi
BTM Italia 2025, held from 26 to 28 February, is a key event for the tourism sector, offering an international visibility platform for regions and businesses. Turi’s participation provides a strategic opportunity to promote the historic center, attract tourist flows, and develop partnerships with industry operators.
TuriBorgoAntico: blending tradition and innovation
The "TuriBorgoAntico" project aims to transform the historic center into a dynamic tourist hub, combining history with modernity. Planned initiatives include the restoration of historic buildings, the creation of experiential routes to discover local excellences, and the use of digital tools for interactive exploration of the territory.
Tourism Councillor Daniela Di Bello highlighted the need for an innovative approach: "Turi must open itself to the tourism market with a modern vision, enhancing our historic center and offering authentic experiences to visitors."
