Turi and TuriBorgoAntico with Puglia at BIT Milan

Turi presents its strategic path towards becoming a DMO with the project “Cuor di Sapori”

Borsa Internazionale del Turismo · Regione Puglia · Graf Srl

Milan – Yesterday at 1:00 pm, at the institutional stand of the Regione Puglia during the Borsa Internazionale del Turismo (BIT) in Milan, the initiative “Cuor di Sapori” was officially presented. The project forms part of a broader territorial structuring programme launched under the brand TuriBorgoAntico.

During the presentation, the strategic programme entrusted to Graf Srl — initiated in August 2025 — was outlined. Its objective is the creation of a Destination Management Organisation (DMO) and the transformation of Turi from a simple place into an organised, recognisable and competitive destination.

From place to destination: a structured vision

The journey began in October 2024 with the project “TuriBorgoAntico – Il Borgo della Felicità”, supported by municipal patronage. Participation in BIT Milan and BTM Bari marked the first stages of national positioning.

The declared objective is clear:to transform Turi into a destination capable of attracting visitors, inspiring emotion and generating longer stays — not merely overnight bookings, but a fully integrated ecosystem of experiences.

The project is based on three core pillars:

  • Structured experiences

  • Shared identity

  • An active and engaged community

The tools implemented: an integrated territorial infrastructure

The report presented at BIT highlighted the creation of a coordinated system integrating digital platforms, communication, belonging and commercial offer.

Digital Area

  • Web portal and App as a comprehensive territorial hub

  • Organic positioning on Google

  • Social storytelling hubs (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube)

Community & Belonging

  • Launch of the Exclusive Card

  • Activation of a database of 33,480 email marketing contacts (Italy and abroad)

Outdoor & Indoor Communication

  • Installation of multimedia totems and dynamic signage

  • Informational materials and branded window decals for the commercial network

Commercial Area

  • Creation of bookable Experiences

  • Territorial tasting menus

  • Promotional B&B rates

  • Voucher-based organised stay packages

The system has been designed to serve two interconnected audiences: tourists seeking authentic, easily bookable experiences, and local operators requiring coordinated tools and structured visibility.

“Cuor di Sapori”: gastronomy as a destination driver

Within this strategic framework, Cuor di Sapori represents the identity-driven element that enhances the local food and wine supply chain as narrative, experiential and commercial leverage.

It is not a standalone event, but a structural positioning tool connecting restaurants, producers, traditions, themed menus and immersive experiences.

Towards a DMO: an extended territorial vision

The project looks beyond municipal boundaries. Turi positions itself as the organised and driving heart of a broader territory stretching from the Murgia plateau to the Adriatic coast, integrating landscapes, identities and traditions into a shared vision.

The message delivered at BIT is unequivocal:Turi is ready for a DMO.

Destination-building does not emerge from isolated initiatives, but from coordinated strategy, concrete instruments and a community willing to work together.
